Leonie Swann’s THREE BAGS FULL, a book about nineteen sheep who vow to avenge the murder of their herder.
So how did these sheep get so clever? How did they become capable of vowing and avenging? Easy: their shepherd “has cared for the sheep, reading them a plethora of books every night. The daily exposure to literature has made them far savvier about the working of the human mind than your average sheep.”
…and that leads us to the reason we selected Three Bags Full to be our Maiden literary voyage: we believe that reading a plethora of books is not only pleasurable…but helpful.
